Is living in the moment (every single moment) unrealistic?
Dear friend,
Willing to live in the past or future is like talking to a person in front of you through a cell phone.Living in the moment is not a search for something without thinking about any thing. It is the ability to concentrate on the work we do right now. This moment is the wonderful thing bestowed on us by nature. All of us are moving toward physical death in every moment.I don't say that every moment is a precious one.But once we miss it, we won't have it again. Problem with the human mind is that it takes asylum in the past or future. It finds them as the suitable places to get rid of troubles. Then it totally forgets the present moment or comes back to it for a short period. Is it living?Embracing the moment is not an exercise. It is the real beauty of living. The present moment provides something which cannot be found in the past or future.Mind creates unrealistic things only when we are in the past or future.Do you want to miss the most realistic thing which is the present moment? You would be happy fantasizing about any thing.you could even imagine that you are the richest man on earth. Are you happy going around a museum built at the centre of a live forest?
1. Do you believe that physical pleasures can never amount to the joys of the intellect?
Dwarakaithalaivan:
Dear friend,
If we explore our mind throughout the life we will find that it has everything. We don't accept it right now because we haven't seen it fully. The real joy of an intellectual is in tranquillity. He lets the moment move along with him. That is what the nature expects from us.You just go on. Physical Pleasures are important parts of life. They are more than pleasure. They make our body and mind. You whole heartedly enjoy every thing.Never forget to share your happiness with others.

Even when we take a cup of water we have to do it consciously.Ethics are developed to hint us about the limits. If we do any thing consciously we will get the best out of it. We could not seperate any thing. All the things we need and like should go together. We should feel the completeness in life. The basic thing we must know is that meaningful pleasures are not alien to intellect. They play a wonderful part in our journey. At any point of time do not become a slave to any pleasure
Let all the instruments vibrate.Compose your own melody of life. Your discovery is completed if you find yourself in all the notes.

2.Is retributive justice necessary?
Dwarakaithalaivan:
Dear Sophi,
we should not call any thing as retributive justice. The law punishes offenders.Man makes laws because he doesn't trust himself.we need law and justice for all things. Some people eat and drink laws .They can't even walk without laws. Our attitude towards law makes some people to find loop holes in it.It doesn't serve the purpose if somebody could bend it.Laws are use less in a land where people have distorted values. We make laws and expect the people to follow it assuming that people would have some values in their mind.we expect the process to take place in the reverse direction. We must cultivate the values and make the laws.

It would be a strange thing to most of us because we consider law as a rope tied to our waist. We trust the rope and we believe that it would help us to land safely as we get down from a hill.We make a strong rope and forget that it could be cut by a knife.First we have to trust our hands and legs.People always want that an offender must be punished. We should believe that the offender has already been punished because he has of fenced. The punishment starts at the moment he does something bad.He has to keep it in his mind throughout his life. The people who want to punish the offender actually harm themselves. They lose the peace of mind.We all need justice. We can remove the weeds. But we cannot find the justice in the books or in the sound of whip because it is a song of humanity.

3.What principal desire implanted to human nature that possibly exists?

Dwarakaithalaivan :
Dear friend,
Our mind is the extension of the soul through our senses. The desires are implanted in them. Our mind is a complicated thing. Our desires make it a more complicated one.Our mind desires not only to get some thing but also reminds us the real nature of our desires. It is capable of checking the list of various desires. Here we find a part of the mind which is watching every thing. It is very difficult to point out a desire as our principal desire. The mind wants many things.People should get all things and achieve success in life.we cannot predict the nature of the human mind.It often changes. It desires for one thing today.Tomorrow it may want something else.
A man cannot forget about the past easily. He was a very good volley ball player. He got a fine job.He was very much engrossed in his job that he totally forgot about playing volley ball. One day it happened. He got a chance to play.He was surprised to see that nothing had changed and he was playing the game as enthusiastically as ever. That is the character of our mind. How could you call one as a principal desire? But the Principal desire does exist in our mind.Imagine that you hold a number of strings to fly a number of kites of different colours in your hand.Your are amused by the flying kites. You like every one of the kites. You don't want to lose any of them. The kites are your various desires. They are the extensions which form the mind.Your hand which holds every thing together is the principal desire. This desire is in that part of the mind which watches every thing as I mentioned earlier.

4.What is Jiddu Krishnamurti most famous for?
Why was he so well known?
Dwarakaithalaivan:
Dear Brianzbl,
JK was one of the best philosophers of India the world has ever known. Many great people were born in India. The world is indebted to India for their tremendous contributions especially in the field of philosophy.Krishnamurti's philosophy is a very unique one.Religions were born to help the people to find the truth. One of the important traits of those great people is that they always want to reveal what they have experienced and guide the people to find the correct path.In the course of time people go out of the track and forget the object of the great sayings and religions. It could happen in any religion. All need a rejuvenation process at some point of time.

It always demands a complete change and transformation. That is why Lord Buddha went to the extent ignoring the God.Some people may find it difficult to digest that. But He taught the true essence of the greatest religions of the world.Krishnamurti was born about two thousand three hundred years after Buddha. But still people were not able to get what that great soul was trying to tell them.It determined him to teach the people to look at themselves. He told the people to find every thing in their self.He tried to refine the people's mind.He uses to go along with you in your mind.It would be an wonderful journey which you have never experienced in your life.In the process you will be surprised to find that you have plenty of rubbish things in it.He doesn't even talk much about the actual meditation. He firmly believed that if people are ready to refine their mind they could solve any problem in their life.He is very special because he boldly refutes all those things which hinder the sincere seeker of truth. He askes the people not get caught in any thing that takes away their liberty. You could not label his teachings not because of the fact that he was very particular about his originality but because of the fact that he always wanted the people to find their true self.We don't know how many years we will be playing in this waves. When will we swim and find the wonderful sea with out any waves which JK intends to show us?

5.Is faith a source of understanding better than knowledge and experience?

Dwarakaithalaivan:
Dear friend,
We all need some faith. It makes our life a complete one.Man is not a machine. He has mind. The mind makes the person. Many ideologies developed with great ambitions failed because they didn't bother about the human mind. They didn't serve the purpose. The people who developed the so called revolutionary thoughts feared to go deep into the subject of mind. They ignored many things because they shook the very base of their ideology. They wanted some short cut methods to solve the problems faced by the masses. In the process they failed to utilize the experience and thoughts of our
fore fathers. They confused the rubbish with our heritage.Faith is one of the many things which they failed notice. The truth is that no man on earth is with out faith.I do not refer to the religious faith alone.Faith and experience should go together.A faith becomes a superstition when there is no experience in it.If one man has got it then every man is capable of getting it.It is the meaning of faith. The problem is that people relate it only to the objective matters not to the subjective things. In the case of subjective matters, faith needs some kind of experience even at the beginning. This makes it difficult for many people understand the faith. When you have the real faith you would know that it is better than knowledge.Faith is the life blood in the pursuit of truth.Though we cannot see it with our naked eye we have to believe in our blood.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------6.What do you think about hypocrisy?
Dwarakaithalaivan:
Dear friend,
If the meaning of hypocrisy is pretending to have values and beliefs then it reveals one thing.A hypocrite loves to have them more than any body else.He almost dislikes his own behaviours. Most of us are hypocrites in some way or other. We give much importance to the values and feelings that we separate them from the people. We find them on a plat form and we are standing below it.We want to keep a distance from them. Some of us love to have them as if they bought them some where and want to show them to others.Actually those things we respect cannot be taken from some where. They have to be

nurtured inside us.We cannot get them over night. They have to be loved and analyzed with in the mind.We must try find their real meaning and their requirement. They should be felt like the fragrance of a flower. We cannot differentiate the fragrance and the flower. In the same way we cannot find a good mind and the values separately.we need not show much pride if we have values and good feelings. We have them not to separate ourselves from others. If we could not realize it then what is the use of having them.People who are the so called protectors of values have almost changed the meaning of values. They project them as laws and make the people totally misunderstood them. That is the reason why we have so many hypocrites in the Society. They think that it is enough if they wear the values as their dress. They are always ready to get a new one from some body.Cultivating values is like breathing. How can one be proud of his breathing. It takes place naturally. It is riduculous that some people make themselves appear to be doing that.

What is the meaning of infinity ?
Sasi
Dwarakaithalaivan
Dear Sasi,
The only thing available to us is infinity. We can find it throughout the universe and beyond it.If we define
infinity as limitless time, space or distance, a piece of stone will be a part of infinity. The stone will exist for ever in
some form or other. We too exist for ever. Our body will continue to be a part of universe in some form or other. So
inifinity is the truth and finiteness is an illusion.Infinity is a vast piece of glass on which we spray some colours of
finiteness in our life.we continue to do it though we know that the colours would evaporate soon.
